Noise Reduction: Impact windows can also help reduce outdoor noise infiltration, providing a quieter and more comfortable indoor environment. The multiple layers of glass and interlayer material act as a barrier to sound transmission, dampening noise from outside sources such as traffic, construction, and weather.

Waterproof:

Impact glass itself does not provide waterproof protection. Impact-resistant glass primarily focuses on withstanding the impact from debris and high winds during severe weather events such as hurricanes and storms.

However, impact-resistant windows often incorporate additional features and components to provide waterproofing and protection against water intrusion. Here are some ways in which impact windows are designed to offer waterproofing:

Frame Design: The frames of impact windows are often designed to be watertight. They feature sealing mechanisms and gaskets that prevent water from seeping through the gaps between the window frame and the building structure.

Installation: Proper installation of impact windows is crucial for ensuring waterproofing. Experienced installers follow manufacturer guidelines and use sealants and flashing to create a secure seal around the window frame, preventing water from entering the building.
